Hey all...Okay, it's day 21 for my chicks...No movement yet, but I've read enough to know that this does take time...I'm excited, and nervous..I have a Silkie Roo mated with Comets, no idea what to expect with how the chicks will look..haha..I am worried about one thing, I placed an egg in the incubator that was very small, but to my surprise it was still going strong right up until lock down. I was wondering will this chick survive or even pip. Bit worried, the little thing came this far without giving up. Did anyone else have an experience with a very small egg..Thanks for any help in advance..Di

Some chicks don't hatch till as late as day 23 or 24, so no worries.
Have any of the eggs pipped yet?

Glad you could join the flock! Yes they can take their time to hatch! When you set them did you count the day you put them in the incubator as day 1 or after a full day of incubation?
I've had smaller eggs hatch just fine, with the egg being smaller the chick has been smaller but they have got on just fine.

Three just began to move today, including the small one..I'm on day 22 now, counting from the morning I placed them in the incubator. Funny thing is the little tiny egg is the one rocking and rolling..Still no pip...But, I'm remaining hopeful..and thanks every for the responses..
