Hi all, I finally joined BYC ! Ive had chickens most of my life, just got 6 three week old chicks today after going without for two years. Ive been a vet tech for over 30 years, so naturally first thing I did when I got them home was run a fecal (I have a home lab). I found a few coccidia and a few ( what I think are) cecal worm eggs. The chicks are a little thin in my opinion, stools look perfectly normal and they are very bright and active. I’m going to do the drop of ivermectin pour on treatment but I’m undecided about treating the coccidia since I only found 2 on the fecal. Thoughts?

Welcome to BYC.
:yesss: We are glad you joined this flock!
Jump right in and make yourself at home.

Corid will treat the coccidia.

I would not rely on topically ivermectin to treat any worms. You are better off using Safe-Guard.
