Hi all!
My Mom grew up on a farm and I remember when I was little going with my Grandmother to feed the chickens. I've always wanted to have chickens of my own, but still waiting for the day that I can live on a piece of property that will enable me to have them.

I came across this site when doing research as I seem to have adopted a Golden Pheasant that showed up in my backyard. I look forward to learning how I can help care for this new visitor and hope I can provide him with a safe, healthy environment. I have posted a thread in the Pheasant link and look forward to advise :)

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

How nice that you could adopt this bird into your life! Great that you posted in the pheasant section. They can really help you out with raising your new bird.

Enjoy this new adventure you are on and I hope you can get your own property soon!

Welcome to BYC. Is it possible for you to have chickens as housepets? Tiny seramas were bred in Malaysia to be house pets. They are growing in popularity here. My friend has two seramas and two silkies as house pets.

Seramas are one of the smallest breeds and people would probably mistake them for some kind of parrot. The are accepting of confinement and will be glad to watch tv with you etc.

Wel,l you've been wishing for for so long that you finally got your wish! How neat is that? He's gorgeous! Welcome to the flock!
