My name is Tonya, and we got our first three hens about a week ago. We planned on getting some when spring sprung, but we had a stray rooster show up and he was lonely. So hubby got 3 rir from his buddy. And they are quickly becoming a favorite past time. We got our first egg yesterday, and another today. The girls hadn't started laying yet when we got them, so we were like kids at Christmas yesterday morning when I found the first egg. We also have a pair of Muscovy ducks, 2 mini donkeys, 2 horses, and 6 baby bunnies, and will have 2 Nigerian dwarf goats as soon as they are weened. So our little farm is growing fast. But I want more chickens, and female Muscovy's... Gotta keep the boys happy. Lol

There is a Trend called How Many egg's you get today you can type that in at the top and you can share all your daily glory like the rest of us and it is Easter for us every day finding our eggs and keeping a count and sheering our experiences with each other

RIR hens really produce a quality egg you choose well my young girls just started last week and are giving me an egg every other day and I only hatched them out in August

There's nothing better than when a girl lays her first egg - i am patiently (yeah, right) waiting for 5 of mine to get on with it myself!
