A friend hooked me up with a RIR breeder nearby and she's putting a setting to hatch for me in the next few days. Yay!

I am west of you, across the lake and just north of Green Bay, WI. We probably have similar climates - you just get a heck of a lot more lake effect snow than we do, lol.

Good luck with your chicken venture - they are amazing animals and very entertaining.

Don't give up on the gardening! After 4 years, we are still working to get our garden area up and going. Last year was a bust for us also - either it was raining and cold or I was at work so the weeds took total control. This year will be better!
