Newbie in Ottawa, Ontario - Canada

Hi all,

My name is Ashley and I am a newbie to chicken ownership. I recently purchased a new home in rural Ottawa and decided to venture into the world of Chickens!!

I picked up 4 beautiful girls last Friday and it's been quite the learning experience. I have 2 Golden Laced Wyandottes, 2 Jersey Giants and 1 Rouen Duck (who I bought simply out of pitty as he was about to end up as someone's dinner)! They're all about a year and have already started to produce eggs

I've been reading this forum for a few months now in preparation for chickens but I'm glad to finally be a member!

Hi neighbor!
I'm new here too- my girls arrive next week! I'm so excited.
