Thanks for the heads up on the thermometer and hydrometer amylynn2374 will have to get them just hope it will fit in the brinsea mini lol. Seller seems good gives a full fertility guaranteed on them. I hope i get at least 2 to hatch when I do get and set them. Ya you were right biophiliac
I looked back at your first post to remind myself what you are hatching. Did you get Brahma eggs? They are such beautiful birds! How many chickens do you have now?

Yes I got Brahma eggs lol ordered 6 got 9. 8 I can tell are growing 1 either is not fertile or a quiter. Got a new 30 egg incubator yesterday also missed a delivery of either lemon plye brahma eggs or buff mottled pekins eggs. I already have 6 layers a reverse Sussex, speckledy, bluebell, goldline, Rhode rock and a Cheshire blue who finally graced me with a egg and it's blue yay.

I have a feeling your Grandma knew many important things we have now forgotten. The belief that feeding eggs causes egg eating is widely held and no reason to belittle anyone, much less your Grandmother! Best of Luck to You!
Many so called "wives tales" have a very real basis in fact. One study I just recently read concerned snakes. It turns out that there is a species of python that cooperates with one another to catch bats. They believe there are others. Ever hear the old saying snakes come in pairs?? Got me wondering. The older folks had to work hard to survive. They didn't have as many distractions.

I have a egg that has a dark round circle mark in it don't see veins or movement but I also don't smell anything bad from the egg. It's been in my bator for roughly a week (set them last Saturday/Sunday. Everything else as veins and babies me bing inside but this one has nothing. Should i pull it out leave a day or 2 more? Really don't want to pull a egg that might have a baby in there.

My policy is if unsure and it doesn't stink or leak to leave it.
