Newbie Picking up eggs - how soon do they need to go in the incubator?

Sorry - I'm sure this answer is here somewhere, just couldn't find it. I'm going to a friends this weekend and will gather up some of her guinea eggs to hatch. What do I do with them until I can get them home to another friends incubator? Can they sit at room temp for a day? I suppose they can, since people ship them.

i don't like them setting out more then 7 days. and do not put them in the fridge.
