Newbie question about laying

Hi, I'm new, this is my first post! I was given 7hens and 1 rooster that are about 8months old. They are laying hens, and were all already laying before we got them. They were moved to my brother in law's house, and then to ours. So they spent 3 nights with him, and have been with us for 2 nights (this is their 3rd night) So far we havent seen any eggs. The brother in law said he had some eggs, but he also had about 30 chickens there, so no way to tell if mine layed any.
How long of adjustment time should it take for them to start laying again?

It could take anywhere from a few days for a few weeks to settle in and start laying again.

One of my laying Blue Plymouth Rocks I brought home at 5 months of age, laid for me that evening. And then has been laying since. But I also got two older Barred Rocks about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and one of them just started laying again yesterday. So it took her about 2 weeks before she felt comfortable to lay again. It all depends on a multitude of variables. Good Luck.
