Hi,

My name is Christina, I'm from New Zealand, and have had chickens around me off n on all my life, mostly as pets.
Currently, we have 6 chooks. Had to get rid of the rooster, because it's against council bylaws to have a rooster in an urban area. Pity. He was a nice young man, and the neighbours didn't complain.
I found BackYard Chickens when I was looking for some information. Google sent me to one of the BY forums, and two hours later, here I am!

If you haven't yet, please make your chickens a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!
