Newbie temp. question

The temp varies from corners to center and any varience of hieght within your incubator. It may be your moving your thermometer around so getting many different readings. In the still airs your looking for 101 F at the top of the eggs.
Heat sinks really help a lot to stablize and expand your zone/area of ideal temp.

Get a heating pad under it on the lowest setting. That'll help make the temps more consistent.

Great idea! I was going to place our bator in the biggest box I have right now and it wouldn't fit. I did find some rocks, nice flat one like lizards like to bask on and some that are about the size of gold balls. We'll see how that goes.
