Newbie to incubating- clear and blood ring eggs??

I am a newbie also, but I want to say thanks for the pictures showing that you left the eggs in to candle. That's how I was going to do it so I wouldn't disturb them as much. Didn't want to chance messing anything up!

Thanks! I was trying to figure out the same also. I wanted to disturb them as little as possible. Next candling is day 10. I will ensure the quitters are truly quitters.
Here is a picture that I was quite pleased with! I love to see them growing, fingers crossed!

Great candler! The porus ones usually are bad. It allows gas to enter into the egg and ruins it. Good luck! I just hatched my first batch and it was so much fun!

Day 7:
Well it looks like the previous "clear" may have actually been a quitter:

I think this is also another quitter?:

On a good note the rest of the eggs so far look nice and well veined!

Yeah, these two are quitters.

LOVE this pic!! Awesome development!! I love it when I get a really see through egg!

Can anyone tell me if the first two that look like quitters, are indeed quitters? I get slightly paranoid about exploding eggs! Lol!

They look like quitters, but it won't hurt to leave them in for a few more days to be sure. If they don't smell bad, they won't explode for some time. It's safe to leave it in for 3 or so more days :)
The only one I had "explode" was on day 23 that I collected after my broody was finished hatching. Luckily, it busted in a plastic bag.

I agree with the above post. As long as they don't smell, you could leave them until lockdown if you wanted. The more you hatch, the more comfortable you will get determining the clears & quitters, and discarding them as soon as you like. I hope you get some more good pics of the ones that are developing.

Also, you are still learning. Crack them open and you will see and then be able to identify. The first one is done...crack it open and look. The second one pick up and get another angle. Sometimes the veins are in a different spot. I think you should wait on that one unless you see it sloshing around inside with zero veins. Don't be afraid to open the eggs up once you think they are gone.

Thank you everyone for the help!! This is truly an amazing resource! I have another egg question... This egg seems to have two black spots... Normal? The others don't seem to...

well, after looking at it this afternoon, I think it may be a fetal demise. The blood vessels are not as apparent and it is not moving. :( Humidity and temperature are still consistent and other eggs seem to be ok.
