Hi there, Newbie here!!!
Just joined for help, advice and friendly shannigans. Live in the West Mids, United Kingdom with my beautiful Wife, 3 Children and 3 Chickens. Bitz, Bobz and Isabella.
We have 2 brown barn hens and a white sussex. We have had them about 3 weeks. We have owned chickens before. I believe that they are about 15 weeks old. The WS is laying although she has gone from one a day, to 4 per week to now only once this week!! The barn hens aren't laying yet.
They are eating layers pellets and mixed corn. They also like bread, greens, grapes and other "treats". We try and limit the treats but with 3 enthusiastic young chicken children its hard!!
The WS seems to be a bit boystrous with the barn hens. If there is a pecking order, she is certainly the top dog. It doesnt seem to be effecting the other 2 at this time though.
I'll try and get soem pictures up as soon as I can, just wanted to say ello ello.
Any advice so far is greatly appreciated
