Hey all,
I find that my kind of raising is unorthodox-I pamper and love my babies. If one acquires a chicken one should have the money to bring the freeken thing to the goll darn vet. Am I right? Instead most of us, I say, will "keep" your pooor darlings until they are mited and sick. Get a grip. Read........BEFORE!!!!!! You "get" a chicken. That might help you. And, Maybe, just maybe....oh forget it

If they can tolerate me, they can tolerate you. Welcome and be assured there are others with attitude on this site.

Just keep it so a 7 year old that can type will be able to keep up with you and not tell their mom and dad on you.

That is always a good start !!

Glad your here.

There are lots of people here with lots of different views, which is nice. Most people are very tolerant. There are those who share your views. However, a lot of people here have different incomes. Many of them try extremely hard to treat their chickens' illnesses/injuries at home, with a lot of sleepless nights and receive great treatment advice from those on BYC willing to help. I wouldn't judge them as "unacceptable" chicken owners because of their income.

I would also like to point out that there aren't a lot of vets that treat chickens, as many have found out.

...and attitude right back at ya!

...I find taking a $5 chicken to a vet to be a waste of resources, no matter what the income. What's next? Surgery for my pet rock?

that being said, I can stand you if you can stand me...
