Hello- I am on day three of my first hatch. 10 marans eggs in my LG 9200 still air incubator with egg turner. One problem I have is the temp is fluctuating now that I have an egg turner in it. First day I did not have one- but before I put the eggs in, it held perfect temp (on the mesh) for 5 days. Now it fluctuates between 97-102. Plus the thermometer is not staying on top of the eggs ( I removed the plastic part on the stock thermometer
) and when it slips down next to the eggs, the temp is about 97. Then when I put it back on top of the eggs, it is right at 99.5. But caught it spiking yesterday over 102.5. Talk about nerve racking! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Is it normal for the temp to be so different from the side of the egg to the top of the egg? I understand that it is closer to the element.... but still! It scares me!
