I'm thinking about getting a midget white or two. I know they don't often get over 20lbs, but how big (height, and width) do they get on average? Are you able to keep them with chickens or ducks without issues or would I have to make a new coop for them? Would they be able to free room without issue if we have coyotes at night (working on that issue), or would a larger breed be safer free ranging with coyotes around?

my tom put one young roo's eye out when he got sexually mature and started dominance fights with the other tom. So... I would not keep two sparring toms in with chickens, never again. Maybe you could keep one tom and his hens, but two, lost an eye on a good young roo. just saying. They are a nice size, a real nice size. Here is a pic of a trio pretty close to chain link for size comparison. Their backs are just about knee high, but I'm taller than average. Still, they are bigger than my biggest chicken, but much smaller than a full grown broad breasted. That wire in the background is 4" x 2" rectangles.

My tom turkey is a sweety-pie. He dosen't hurt any of the chickens, roosters, or turkey hens that live with him. Now my female turkeys, they are another story. They have been known to go for some roosters combs as well as any younger hen turkeys. They leave along giggilo my aracauna rooster, but will try to scalp any other roosters. I have to keep my young tukey hens in another pen, since they want to scalp them as well. But I can add as many chicken hens as I want with out any problems.

I guess that my hens don't want to share the toms attentions with any more hens. He's of course more than happy to have as many hens as I give him.

What I'm getting at is that it really comes down to the personality of your turkeys. Some will be sweet to all creatures, others will try to kill anything that crosses them. You won't know until you get them. But it does help to raise creatures together if you want them to live together.
