Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Congratulation! It's always so exciting getting those first eggs. I agree with the other members; definitely go ahead and eat them. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of chickens do you have? If the eggs are pink, it sounds like you have an Easter Egger in your flock.

Thanks everybody. I've got two more eggs today & I'm convinced that it's my Barred Rock in my avatar that's doing the laying, but as nobody is ever in the nest boxes I'm really not positive. So I guess I'll make that omelet after all. ((Bittersweet moment))
