My first one just hatched! I feel like a kid in a candy store!
And my "mama" cat finally figured out where the peeps were coming from. She got so excited when I set up the tub with a heat lamp. She thinks that chicks are her babies. She is laying by the incubator now.

She's thinkig dinner.
I had the same thought - I wouldn't trust any cat near tiny chicks like that. Although, I did have a mama cat adopt a baby bunny once. My dog had gotten into the bunny nest and brought one of the babies up to the house. (It's eyes weren't even open yet) I figured there was nothing I could do for it, so I took it out to the shed where I had a mama cat raising some babies that were just a couple of weeks old. I figured she could use the protein. The next morning I went out to check on the kittens, fully expecting the bunny to be gone. Nope! There it was, nursing on the mama with the kittens! It lived about two weeks, then the Tom cat came home...

I wouldn't trust my Tom cat near them- but she thinks these are her babies. The last chicks we had- she did the same thing. She lays and watches them all day. If they get really loud and sound like they are in distress- she gets upset. Will even come get me.
Both of my female cats were bottle babies. They don't know they're cats. Think they are really small humans with a speech impediment.

The rest have all hatched, and are beautiful, but this one has been stuck here for a few hours. Is there anything I need to do to help it?
I'm afraid the others bounced it around a bit overnight as they hatched and hopped around.
