1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Fairly new. Finally got a place where I could have some birds. Been here a year and have had ups and downs.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I started with 11 three day old chicks. Lost 4 to coccidia. When they were 4 months old lost 3 due to fright. Had one taken by a bobcat yesterday and one injured. So now I have 3.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Rhode Island red, and Ameracauna

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Watching their personalities come out. They are a joy to watch and interact with.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I rehab wildlife, enjoy welding and being outside doing anything

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

Thank you everyone! Ive been reading on this site for a while before I delved into chicken ownership. You all are an amazing cache of invaluable knowledge. I am hoping to bring this injured birb around. I just hope her butt isn't too injured. Many many thanks!
