This is actually a nice looking coop!Hello to All,
I ordered a 6x10’ coop with two vents at the top....two windows that open and a chicken door on the right wall. The little coop...never used will become a play house for my year old granddaughter. Now my question for you is that I’m going to order 5 more chicks.......either....australorps or Delaware....or Sussex....or Orpingtons. Which do you all recommend. I like lots of eggs bc I have 4 dogs and 5 cats that I feed them to so keep that in mind. Oh yes and docile for the grandchild. Look forward to your advice.

I love the new coop!!! For me, any kind of orpington is a great choice for eggs and friendliness!!! My favorites are Buff Orpingtons, but Australorps and Lavenders are also in my flock and they are gorgeous.Hello to All,

That was very sweet of you!!!Thxs....I think so too.
I like your John Bunyan quote....yesterday outside the donut shop I went into was , what looked like a homeless person with a blanket wrapped around himself. I bought him a coffee and a fattening chocolate chip muffin. Yes I know, not very nutritious but I’m sure the coffee warmed him up.
Did you say where you are? If you have a lot of rain or snow, you'll want a solid roof on the run. If you are in an arid landscape then you could go with bird netting over the run to keep hawks, owls and eagles out. I like the idea of hardware cloth and an electric wire around. It's what I do.No no.......this is a picture of the one I’m buying. It’s in their gallery of pictures. My windows will open and is bigger. The colour is the same. But Thxs. I have lots of property for a run. Thinking of buying an electrical fence to keep out predators. Not sure. Or put up T posts with hardware cloth around it. As for a roof....??
