So yesterday was hatch day. 8 out of 23 hatched. We had some problem with the humidity going up to 80 when they were all in there. So after they were all fluffed they were wet again. Moved them to brooder and they are all fine, fluffy and happy. Now yesterday when I was trying to figure out everything I saw 2 eggs wiggle when I went in and got them. Now today no eggs are wiggling. I’m afraid me opening to get them out has done something or the high and wet humidity has drown the eggs. What can/should I do? I know that eggs can hatch up to day 24. These are quail eggs.

80% is fairly high but not enough to suffocate the chicks in the eggs.

They do not drown in the egg but the combination of humidity and heat will lower the oxygen level in the incubator to lethal levels. that is well over 90% humidity. It it gets that high, you can pop the top off of the incubator.

Congratulations on the hatch!
