Hi everyone
My name is Danielle and I live in New Zealand. I am living at home to save some money and my mum has two hens, Omy and Minnie. I was lucky enough to name these two! Omy is named after the children's picture book Omeletta Hen! Omy has a big personality and sometimes even tries to crow! Minnie is very sweet and quiet, her noise sounds similar to a Tui bird. Minnie has gorgeous colouring and when the sun shines on her you can see all the different colours, green gold blue etc.
I cant wait to learn more about chickens a hopefully get some advice about Omy

Thank you! I think so. I have made a post about it in the diseases injuries etc part, but basically I'm wondering why all of a sudden she has started to stamp her legs, one at a time while standing still. Then the following day she was holding a leg tucked up under her and it was trembling. She seems fine otherwise in regards to eating drinking etc, I have just never seen her do this before and I havent been able to find anything online about it

Thank you! Not yet - I will have a look today and see how her legs look. Because she isnt limping or seeming in pain I was wondering if it was something along the lines of mites in one way or another... would scaly leg mites cause the leg trembling? I thought that was odd to have with no pain - that I can tell anyway. Thank you for replying!

The trembling can be a sign of pain.
