Hey there, welcome.
Sounds too simple, how about feeding the ducks in the coop?
'Your' ducks will likely drink from the pond anyways; if you put fresh water out it would just be another option.
Do it anyways, they may surprise you.

Twilia ;-)
The food is right outside the coop. Last night I put it in the coop but I found them nesting on a clump of grass this morning. I moved it back to right outside. They have been in a horse stall and are probably happy to have freedom. May never go in the condo.

Hello, and welcome to BYC! Nice to meet you, we're glad you joined us. :frow:welcome

Ducks can be notorious for not going into their coop, especially at night. I'm not sure there's a whole lot you can do other than locking them up for a few days to teach them its home and teaching them they should lay in there.
Since they're near the pond they should be ok without fresh water, but it wouldn't hurt to give them some anyways.

Hey Thanks! Well it would be fine and dandy if I could catch them. But they keep swimming away. ha ha. The pond has a couple islands. The house is on one of the islands with a bridge to it. They seem to be getting up and down the bank well enough and at lunch time they were back to the food next to the house. Hopefully they will check out the house tonight.

Lol, that's ducks for you! I hope they start going in.
Maybe try putting the food in there again?

They may never learn to go in, and the only way to keep them more confined is if you built an enclosed run.
