Hi I am new to chickens as of about 3 months ago. I have 5 silkies, 2 chochins, 2 buff orpingtons, 2 gold lace wyandottes and 1 spangled Russian Orloff. The oldest silkies are 14 weeks and the youngest silkie and the Russian are 2 weeks. I started looking at this site when I was thinking of getting chickens and then more recently when trying to decide if I have pullets or cockerels. So far it has been an interesting learning experience.

Congrats on your flock! When they get a few weeks old, you can take pictures of them (try to get two; one of their face, and one of their side) and post them here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/what-breed-or-gender-is-this.15/

Don't bother posting the silkies, though, as those won't be sexable for at least three months. All anyone does is make a guess, and they're of course right 50% of the time.
