Thank you so much everyone!
What a warm welcome!

I will try to figure out how to put pics here the right way, so I can introduce my hens and chicks.

It was not totally selfless to save them, when I saw them on the board, where the people that saved them put them on (they couldn`t keep them) a case of chicken math suddenly hit me and I had sent them a message before I knew what I was doing :D

Hi everyone,

I`ve been reading here for a couple of years and finally decided to post.
I`m a woman, 46 yo and living in the Netherlands.
We have 4 hens and 2 chicks that we rescued today.
Our oldest hen is 4 yo, that`s when I first started my chicken adventure (and reading here).
They originally came with 3 hens, but one of them fell prey to a stray cat, our hens now live in a secured run and are only out in the yard when I`m able to be with them.
One hen moved with one of our roosters that we had bred.
She was always broody and was hard to break out of it and the nice man that came to pick up our rooster was looking for a non-related hen to breed his eggs.
We had just bred our new wyandotte chicks, they are now 2 yo and we also have a rescue hen that`s 2 yo.
And since today, two supercute splash chicks, no idea what breed, that`s what prompted me to make an account and post, lol.
Welcome to BYC! Have fun here!

We have since swapped out the omlet coop for a nestera wagon and the run is bigger now.
Don`t have pics of the new situation yet.
