I hate to admit it but Im not surprised-0 % hatching rate!! all 38 are gone!--well thats what happens when you accidently bake them at 110 degrees for 3 days at day 5-7-dumb thermometer! I have 3 now-can't wait for my next ( 2nd) and last batch for a while....bummer

Bad news. I am very dissapointed

I set 40 eggs and two showed at candeling time of being infertile. This left 38 to hatch. Out of that I only got 8 to hatch. One chick never stood up but kept flopping around on its side. It lived three days. The others eggs never did hatch. The incubator began to develop a nasty strong smell and had some nasty spots of fluid in the bottom. I removed some eggs and could not see through them, I opened them up and no chick inside. I ended up dumping the 30 eggs and one had a chick in it the others nothing but fluid and yolk. So I have 8 out of 38, thats 21%! This is not what I had in mind.

It's Day 17 ... getting nervous!!

I've made plenty of mistakes, but a quick peek in just a couple of the eggs last night showed signs of life, so I'm optimistic for at least a 50% hatch ... we shall see!

ohhh you guys are driving me crazy! Tomorrow is day 21 for me with a few bumps in the road along the way. I didn't candle at all because I didn't trust myself to keep hands off or to know what I was looking at. So no idea what I've got going . . . could be all could be none. I am not hearing any peeps though . . . what day do they start that in the shell? If they all go to day 23 or something I am going to be a nutcase!
