Newbies 1st Hatch ! ! *Contest Listing updated*

I'd love to be added, too. I set eggs March 10 and started hatching out on March 31. I set 17 eggs, two were yolkers - so 15 fertile, 7 have hatched so far, and more are pipping (on day 24 - ugh!).
 
Well I candled for the millionth time & finally I saw a little one wiggling around.....

Now I just have to keep it alive and hatchable for another 2 weeks!
My hatch rate is going to be in the crapper for my first hatch but I have learned A TON

The waiting is getting to me. I can't imagine how I'll be able to go to work on hatch day.

At 6:22 A.M. I had my first ever hatch!!!!!!! I heard loud insistant peeping & looked just in time to see the shell split in 2 and

There was a second close to hatching. 5 of 8 had pipped. I will get home around 6 P.M. to see what happened during the day. The roo is Ameraucana the mom of the first hatch a Buff Orpington. I have an AmeraubuffO! The egg close to hatching is full breed Amer.

1st incubation "attempt" for science fair project

set eggs on 3/16 at 11am
38 total

at day 18 I took out 2 duds - left 36

hatch out on Sunday?

Sooo excited, keep on checking and putting my ear to the bator to see if I can hear anything...
 
I hatched 3/21 I had 12 fertile egg (2 unfertile I took out at day 10) and out of the 12, 12 hatched!!! Yay, I was so suprised.
