Just stopping in to say Hello to everyone. We just got started on our chicken experience. My wife came home with 8 Australorp chicks lol and me with no coop. Well coop built and they are happy as can be running around in it.

Welcome to BYC! You will love the Australorps (my favorite standard breed chicken). I've raised Black Australorps for years and they are the best brown egg layers of the standard breeds. Also they are very calm and gentle birds. I've never had an aggressive one. My children, and now my grandaughter, made pets out of them. Good luck with your Australorp flock.
