Newbies - getting chicks in/out of coop

Sulteric - we ended up putting a hinged door on ours and I love it. Quite frankly - I wanted a slideing door, but we had no clue had to make that work. We finally settled on hinged, and it works really well for us. I especially like it because when it rains (not storms!), I can leave the chicken door hinged open and nothing gets wet in the coop and the chickens can look outside. I wound up putting in a hinged door. It works good and they figured it out by the time I went into the house to get more tools and a hinge and came back. All is well now. I'll have to post some pictures. I got my first two eggs today!
