Welcome. Very pretty chickens. They need to be safely enclosed in 1/2 inch hardware cloth that is firmly attached to sturdy fencing. Sides, top and an apron (this is where you take the walls of the run and fasten at the bottom and then run hardware cloth on the ground out 18-24 inches to protect from digging predators)Hello we are at the beginning of our homesteading journey and I am the type of person to ask questions I do not personally know the answer too. We have 24 Hens and were 0 for 2 on roosters... It is myself, my husband, and my sister along with my children on our property so we never lack helping hands. I am a learn as much as possible from the people who come before me type of person, a sponge to knowledge.
Wow @Debbie292d, I didn't know about the sufficient self site. Thanks.Hiya, and welcome to BYC!
We have a Learning Center here with oodles of articles about raising poultry. We also have a sister site, Sufficient Self that you may find helpful!
As always though, if you have questions, just find the appropriate forum and ask away! We're glad you're here!
There are three sister sites down in the bottom banner. I just go to them now and then but never joined.Wow @Debbie292d, I didn't know about the sufficient self site. Thanks.
