Newborn keets in trouble :(

I picked up some Nutridrench and gave him a dose. I just gave it to him plain--should I dilute it? How often should I give it?

Love the name Crate! If this little guy lives (the right side of his head is so swollen and the eye closed :() my boyfriend wants to name him Lucky--he survived a dunk in the water while hatching and the dog so he is a lucky keet! The other chick in with him I named Nemo--he only got the water dunk.

I hope I'm not giving you bad advice because I just tried that with "Crate" out of desperation. I only gave him a tiny bit a few times to hopefully boost him a bit from the trauma.

So, you can dilute it in his water - it should give dosages on the bottle. If he's moving around - even weak - then just a tiny bit should be fine and then don't give him more by mouth. Otherwise, he may not be thirsty or hungry and won't drink/eat on his own.

I'd say Lucky would be a great name if he makes it!!

Changed his name to Tuffy...well, Tuffy survived the night but still isn't eating on his own. I'm nervous about not helping him because he can only see out of his one eye. Today he is more active but now I have another worry--brain damage. He is doing a lot of circles but I'm hoping it's from the swelling and that when the eye opens he'll have a better sense of where he is.

Nemo is doing great! (so named because like the Nemo fish, he too got attacked in the egg, got wet and is a little deformed.) The other keet who just got wet is 100% and I'd say Nemo is 85%. He's eating and drinking on his own and running around, scratching, and peeping. His head is still a little lopsided but his eyes are both open. LOL, he has a little mohawk sprouting in the middle of his head for some reason! I even tried putting the two of them in with my hen and the other keets and Tuffy did fine but Nemo started immediately to show he wasn't ready by huddling in the corner and not following the others. Thanks for asking!!!
