Their skin is usually a bit red once they first hatch, His down might still be wet, that would explain why you can see his skin.

Okay thank you! He felt pretty dry so I moved to brooder but I guess he could still be damp!

The rescue just came to get him FAST I am so sad but he is going to have brothers and sisters! 9 more newborns came in last night and he will join them
