I explained that to him, he said they were one month oldChicks raised on the dirt with chicken mommas can get it simply by sitting in a pile of chicken poop! Google cloacal drinking ( on iPad, so too hard to copy/paste).
Dosing chicks will be hard to do... How old are they?

Good thinking! This is the 8 that I use and it has had the end cut off and melted a little so it won't damage the esophagus and crop.I took a chick to the vet yesterday and we were getting ready to tube it Penicillin ( a long story you will read later tonight), and she asked what size I needed. I told her 8, 10, or 12, but she did not have one, so we used a hard plastic 5, wow, that is tiny! She was going to cut the end off of it, but I was afraid of puncturing the esophagus so we left it entact.
