Soo again, my second ever hatching of a button quail, I was sooo hoping it was a hen
but guess what it started doing just 2 days ago!?! "wee woo woo!" Another male? I assume so... Pippin turned out to be a male just like i assumed from his very early (3 days old) calling, and now "Chaos" is calling too..garH! Only thing I can guess why other Button Quail breeders don't attess to knowing male from female at a young age by their call is that both hatches i've had of Button quail, only one chick per clutch sucessfully hatched... so yep Chaos is also alone. Only reason i can gather I can pretty much tell the sex on my buttons so young wow. got 3 bq eggs due on friday though so hopefully Chaos will get some buddies then.
