I think Delphina has the best muffs of all the EEs I've had!

Some sad news - currently my favorite Brahma, Seana, is in the hospital crate for what appears to be internal laying (yellowish poops, slow, tired appearance, not super interested in food, and pale face). She has had egg quality issues for over a year and I think it's finally caught up to her. :( I have ordered antibiotics but they won't get here until next week.

Seana looks so much better now. It seems she expelled most of the egg matter and her poop looks more normal. I ended up giving her the antibiotics I had on hand (LA-200) plus daily calcium pills. I still ordered the other antibiotic (Baytril), but depending on how she looks when it arrives she may not need it.

She has to be separated from the rest of the chickens for the duration of the egg withdrawal period, so she is in with three of my ducks. So now I have a chicken in my duck pen and a duck in my chicken pen! 😵‍💫🤣 It sure is nice to have separate pens though.

Sounds like Seana is on the mend; best wishes for her continued recovery!!
Thank you! I hope so. But she will be one of those chickens I'll have to keep a close eye on. She is such a good little hen and I would hate to lose her. She is very sweet and gets along with all the top chickens.
