I just love these Swedish Flowers! I've noticed that Freya is frequently sitting or standing between her two brothers. When the boys challenge each other Freya will walk in between them like she's trying to calm them down. It's so funny! The cockerels are just beginning to crow now. So far they're not loud enough to bother me.

Typically Marans are pretty easy to gender by 4 weeks. Boys will be loud and proud with their combs and wattles unless the breeder is breeding for smaller combs in their program.
The other tell is the beginning of copper coming in on her hackles. Normally males will have copper showing on the hackles/chest by 2 weeks and starting to a be pronounced on the back by 7 ish weeks.
There's variance here as always if it's slower maturing.

Thanks, good to know! I was worried for a while because her comb grew faster than my other BCM's and it was noticeably bigger at only a couple weeks old. I am relieved I get to keep her!

Here is my Oscar at 6 weeks old, your lovely girl isn't even remotely this red and big haha

He's a big boy now, 15 weeks

Here is Cracker a BCM x EE and he's 7 weeks old here,

The bigger EEs next to him are 1 week older than he is.
