The used copies are probably review copies that the reviewers are finished with.

Hmmm... maybe, but I think it's illegal to resell review copies, at least that's what happens when my wife gets review copies of books (she has a book blog). The review copies come with big stickers / notes that say "Do Not Resell - Review Copy Only!"

My guess is that it is companies that sell new copies as "used" and just try to undercut Amazon's low prices?

Just read the sneak-peek review on Amazon. Love it, will be getting it soon. I especially like the easy, breezy, but informative style of the writing - and a little humor when explaining technical things (like how chicken digestion works). Bravo to you and the effort to help all of us new (and old) chicken owners.

How come I never realized you wrote the Chicken Coop for dummies? Oh well, better late than never. My husband used the plans for the coop on the cover of that for our girls home. It looks just like the book cover and the girls love it!
