Newly born baby diet & rest of egg Hatching

Make sure not to put anything too deep in water with them because ducklings may climb in and chill and can even drown.

Oh my GOD...Baby is found dead. I'm highly frustrated how it happened??? Pls suggest & help for a useful way. Still eggs are there and mother is sitting on them. But I lost a very valuable life. Pls help it's my first ever experience.

Who is in with mom and eggs? do you have her in a separate area secure?

Momma needs to be safe and secure away from other Ducks...Others will kill them....Sorry that happened...Feed ducklings a wet soupy feed available plus dry and have safe water bowl available close by.....

Went back and read your beginning post sounds like she is out where anything could get to them predator or one of your own animals. You need to figure out how to get her and eggs into a safe place before the rest hatch. I have moved nest and ducks before and they sit. It's always a risk they will not but lock her up so she can't go back to original nesting site.
