Hello everyone. I had a chick hatch earlier today (along with two others). They all hatched on their own completely fine. No issues at all, and all were completely fine all day. I checked on them when I got out of the shower and not even 30 minutes later I noticed blood in the incubator. I noticed one chick was bleeding, I think from his bellybutton. I put gentle pressure on him with a napkin and he’s no longer bleeding. I separated him from the others and put him on a heating pad. He had been hatched with no issues for hours before this happened. I’ve been given in save a chick in water occasionally to try and replenish his fluids. He’s chirping loudly and can stand on his own, but mostly lays down. I don’t know if that’s anything to worry about since newly hatched chicks lay down and rest a lot anyway.
Basically I’m just looking for advice from people who may have experienced similar things. I want to give him the best chance.
