Newly hatched chick with cord attached??

My second round of chicks are hatching! The third to hatch had this attached to its belly. It's since drying up but still attached... do I need to do anything for him/her??

It should dry and fall off on it's own. if the chick steps on it a lot, after a couple of hours you can cut it at least 1/2 an inch AWAY from the body.

I personally would dip it in iodine and leave it be on a clean surface such as paper towels.

It will dry up and fall off in a day or two. If with other hatchlings, keep an eye on it to be sure the others aren't pecking at it.
