I had 7 buffs hatch, but the last one to hatch is having issues. It won't stand. It lays with its legs out. I don't know what to do. It moves both legs ok. Is there hope, or I need to cull. It cheers and moves around, but it has been about 36 hours. I moved the siblings out and just kept it alone in the incubator.

Try giving some Poultry Cell or NutriDrench orally, and some fluids. Some chicks may be slow or will get their legs if you stand them inside a small padded cup or glass. Some may not be able to make it though. I had a couple who would not stand, and tried to bend over backwards due to brain damage. I hope yours responds.

With new chicks that are less than springy, I give them drops of sugar water laced with Nutri-drench on the sides of their beaks. Sometimes this is all it takes to launch them. If the chick declines instead, you have a FTT (failure-to-thrive).
