Newly hatched ducklings

Hey y'all I am new to raising ducks. So the ducks I got last year have laid eggs and one of them finally started to sit. Its been 28 to 30 days since laid. 5 of the eggs have started to hatch 1 of them was almost halfway out so I helped him some. Now he is out and it has been almost 48 hours all he wants to do it wiggle around a little. He is not up on his feet yet just kinda kicking them around some. He hasnt eaten or drunk anything. Is this normal or what can I do to help him. All the other duck are halfway hatched but still inside their eggs should I help them. Am I doing something wrong?

I would leave them alone and let mother nature and mother duck take care of things at least until tomorrow. Generally with broody mothers the less interference the better the hatch.

Ok thank you sourland. I put them in the incubator as soon as the started to hatch I'm located in TN and it has been cold the past few days. Should I put them back with momma or leave them in the incubator

I’d think at 48 hours after hatching you may want to dip it’s beak into some water..

I am not an expert in hatching, never have hatched eggs in an incubator or had a broody duck, but what i have read here so far is that you should not interfere with a duck-momma! She should know best what to do and when to help her offspring.

So they're in an incubator now? When you say half-hatched, do you mean they've zipped halfway around the shell and have now stopped? Pictures would be great if you could get some
