I woke up around 6 am this morning to continental loud chirping. The quail was also stood upright. It’s only day 16 so has hatched early but since hatching he has started laying on its side and not moving as much. The temp is 37.8 and the humidity is 90% is that normal behaviour?

Hatching is hard work! Depending on when he hatched, he may just be tired. 90% humidity does seem awfully high, though.

okay thank you!! I’ll leave leave him and see what happens I guess? Do you think it will be worth seeing if I can lower humidity or shall I just leave the incubator alone now?

I think you should try to lower the humidity to around 65% or the hatching chicks may drown in their own shells. Your temp sounds good, though.
