I have a Silkie who has been diligently sitting on 3 barnyard mixed (Orpington & Cochin) eggs for 21 days now. I was wondering if I will need to bring mama and the babies indoors (house or garage) until the babies are fully featured or will mama keep them warm enough until than? The temps have been dipping into the low teens to negative teens at night but can get up to the mid 30s during the day. I do have the run fully enclosed and covered for the winter however water will still freeze if I don’t have it on the heater base. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i'd say if i had the ability to keep them indoors and wanted to 'insure' low to zero losses thats the best bet .. otherwise if theyre out of the full weather i'd think they would 'likely' be fine ..
