Newly hatred chick's eye closed

My one day old chick has an eye that seems to be sealed shut. The eyeball is moving, but lid is closed. I had to assist this chick in hatching but don't think I injured it. Any suggestions?

Gently clean the eye with a q-tip or warm washcloth. Its probably just sealed shut with a bit of hatching gunk
