Next Step for mum and baby ??????

My 17 day old chick is fit and well and enjoying time outside during the day with mum, learning how to do "chickeny" things. They are shut up away from predators and snuggly and warm at night. When do I put mum back in with the hens she lives with ? and at what age will baby chick go and join them ? I really want to do things correctly so I know I will get good advice from here. Is the mom and chick in an area that is visible to the rest of the flock? If not, then that is the first step. They should be like that for about a week. However, I would wait til the chick is a bit larger before putting it with the rest of the flock. Just remember not to leave the chick alone - chickens are flock animals and do poorly without another one.
