Hi All,

Sad to say, I had an animal (unknown) take my rooster and my dominent Speckled sussex hen the other day while the flock was free ranging. My mother in Law who lives with us is just devistated. The roo was like a pet to her.

I cant replace her pet but was hoping to get a Interesting Roo to atleast make it a little easier. I was looking for a crested polish Roo in the 6-8 month age range with a good demeanor. I didnt know if anyone was bringing any Polish roos.?

I will be at the Merrimack Swap looking.

Thanks and love the forum!

Thanks Everyone..

Rooster was a beautiful wellsummer and a good protector of the flock. The speckled sussex hen was very dominent and often wondered by herself without the gang. We suspect something attacked the hen which the roo came to defend and wonund up being taken also. what ever it was it scared the flock They were hiding under the deck for the remainder of the day.

i dont think for protection the polish is the best breed to choose for that.

if they were undercover possibly a hawk? could have been anything though, thats too bad
