I have three New Hampshire Red's that were hatched around April 15, 2008. All three look the same except for one..she has two big feathers on the back of her head, and black outlines on her neck feathers.
She even had the "baby" two big feathers before the new ones grew in. Could this just be a genetic whoops?
Thanks!

Alright, I just HAVE to figure out how to get one of my girls to grow one of those!!!! That is just soooooooo adorable! I have never seen anything like it!!! I guess it is just one of those little "oops" type things!!! You are very lucky, I think!!!

My friends and family think she's really cool...a few even think she's a he!
I wonder what her chicks will look like? (I should get a roo!)
"Diane" has been my favorite all along...she likes me as well.

This is my first time raising chicks as an adult. It's been a lot of fun- with a nice surprise, too!

I'll post more pictures as she grows. Thanks everyone!

LMAO... maybe she was a flapper girl in a past life

You could make a little beaded band for her head and pretend the funky feather was attached to it!
