Niacin Deficient Ducklings

So sorry for the set back any chance you can get a vet to have a look? Sounds like it hurts to walk especially with swollen and hot to touch legs. Poor baby. A sling would work for a while. Just make sure where ever you place him he has access to food and water.
I called the vets near me and no one will see poultry. I got him in a sling. He keeps flipping backwards whenever he is standing. He has now refused to eat or drink anything at all for 2 hours. He has had one poop since at least 3am, if not earlier.

He refused to have any food or water for 5 hours now, despite us sticking things even in his mouth. He is beyond weak. I tried setting him down to stand outside before (change of scenery and endless food). He fell over and kept trying to run and right himself. I would right him and hold him and he would stand up tall like a runner almost.

He fell over and over until I put him in the sling again where he just responds to nothing at all and gasps.

I got video I will upload a little later of his breathing (not the flailing). Maybe he can help others in the future. I can’t right now. It was one of my daughter’s (7-years-old) absolute favorite duckling she would sing to alllllll day Frozen 2 songs. My husband is ending his suffering right now. We respect his decision to give up the will to live. He doesn’t want to fight anymore and his body has given up. No sense in forcing him to wait out the process. He hasn’t eaten a good bit since yesterday. We are all absolutely devestated.

He was both of my daughter’s (5 and 7) favorite duck to sing Frozen 2 songs to alllllll day and say good morning to and goodnight to before any of us humans.
