Niacin, deworming, sick gander help!

Ok, so is that a possibility? Do you have any ideas without getting an X-ray ?

I'm no fowl expert ... but in mammals ... black tar like poop indicates blood, usually before the large intestinal tract ... basically it has been "digested" ... red would indicate a problem closer to the "exit" ...

That points in the direction of what the vet said...thank you, it’s not looking good for him

I'm sorry.

I wish I could give you other ideas, but I can't.

While an x-ray should show a piece of metal, the chances of only one x-ray finding it are slim ... say it is a nail, or screw ... and it was pointed at the x-ray machine, it would just show a small dot, which could be a stone ...

Without opening him up, it's not likely to get better, if that is the problem ... but if it was something like a bleeding ulcer, or diverticulitis it could be "treatable" if diagnosied ... and you have the money ...
